Position: Trainee – Certificate III in Community Services Location: Cairns Duration: 12-Months About the Role: As part of this traineeship, you will work alongside experienced professionals in the Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) sector, providing essential support services to individuals and families who are impacted by DFV. You will gain hands-on experience while completing your Certificate III in Community Services. This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop key skills and knowledge in: DFV awareness and intervention strategies. Legal and ethical frameworks governing DFV. Crisis intervention and risk assessment. Trauma-informed care practices. Cultural safety and sensitivity, with an emphasis on First Nations perspectives. Community-specific support pathways for survivors Who We Are Looking For: We welcome applicants from First Nations backgrounds who have a passion for supporting others and a desire to make a positive impact in the DFV sector.
