Australian Training Works Group (ATW) are now seeking candidates for a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care traineeship with a G8 Education childcare centre in Ipswich, QLD. G8 Education is a leading provider of quality early learning education and care, with a range of trusted brands and more than 430 centres across Australia.  The traineeship provides paid, on-the-job training and no prior experience or qualifications are required.  Responsibilities & Duties: As an Educator in Training, you will work as part of a team to provide quality education and care while observing the policies, procedures, values and philosophies of G8 centres. You will support children in their development and physical care whilst learning about practice through nurturing relationships and positive interactions. As a valued member of the team, you will support educators to observe and document children’s learning and development and assist in the day-to-day operation of the room. Typical daily tasks include: Setting up rooms ready for the day Greeting children and families Assisting room leaders with room and outside activities Assisting staff with meal breaks and quiet time Position Criteria: Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Located in Ipswich or surrounds Current driver’s license (minimum P1) preferred but not essential Must pass criminal history / police check Must pass Working with Children Check (Blue Card) Keen interest in Early Childhood Care Full-time position - able to commit to full-time work (Monday - Friday - 5 days, 38 hrs / week)  Excellent verbal and written communication skills Friendly and energetic Please note this is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified position.

Australian Training Works Group (ATW) in Cairns is offering a unique opportunity for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander youth to kick-start a career in Construction, completing a Certificate 1 in Construction during a 12-week paid employment and training program. All training is provided and you will be paid as a full-time trainee for the duration of the program.  The aim of this program is to get your foot in the door and prepare for an Apprenticeship opportunity in the Construction industry. You will be placed with a local employer to enable you to apply for an Apprenticeship and continue your further employment and training in the Construction industry.  The Construction industry is made up of a range of trades and specialties, including Carpentry, Plumbing, Blocklaying, Floorlaying, Electrical, Civil Construction and Plant Operations, Painting, Concreting and much more. Pre-requisites and Eligibility Must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Have a keen interest in the Construction industry Be available 20th November 2023 - 22nd March 2024 for full-time work and training Trainees must participate in ATW's 1 week pre-employment program prior to commencement Driver's licence (minimum red Ps preferred) and reliable transport Located in Cairns or surrounding areas Have not previously completed a Certificate I in Construction
