Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment. Rig and move heavy loads according to safety standards. Perform inspections and diagnostics on equipment. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Qualifications: Valid qualifications and tickets for fitting and rigging. Proven experience in a similar role. Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends as required. Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Requirements: Must pass a drug and alcohol screening. Strong communication and teamwork skills. The minimum requirement for this position is: Cert III or Diploma Qualified Educators Current Queensland Working with Children Check A current “Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification” (or ability to obtain) Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management Training (or ability to obtain) The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. This course will provide participants with a range of knowledge, skills and competencies to conduct repairs and maintenance of housing structures for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities.   Some of the duties will include: Brick and block laying Work safely at heights Remove and replace doors & windows Install and repair fences & gates Measure and calculate Use construction tools & equipment Prepare and paint surfaces Work safely in construction Erect and dismantle formwork Pathway to get a job as a skilled trade assistant or undertake a construction apprenticeship.
